. . . what happens now?

Mon Jan 21, 2008, 2:18 PM
I am tired, frustrated, pressured, and blowing up. I apologize for the major delay in all the projects I planned to release, and was rather excited to release, but grade 11 took me by surprise. The workload was quite a jump from all the previous years... when it was soo easy. Well, you can say that I suffered from a serious punch in the face, and the lasting bruise is not going away. So I am working my ass of trying to improve my marks like crazy, and I am going mad. I am a kid that stays in the 90s, and now... it's like the 80s have become my new home, and I am not liking the change. So in order to get this life back in order, I have to take a break from all of this.

Most importantly, I haven't left graphic designing, still pursuing that ever-so-beautiful future with a vengeance. In my absence from DA, I have designed a magazine for my English final project (99.9% of the design work was done by moi and I loved every moment of it!! (except when my group gave me their articles late so my designing got smacked into a small timeframe and I had to work twice as fast and therefore I screwed up on a little things everywhere)). Moreover, the GREATEST THING EVER: my design for the SCHOOL YEARBOOK got chosen! horrahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! XD <3 I am so happy!!

Well now that's updated. I will go and do some fun before I cram for school.

Toodles.

Good news... lots of good news! :D

Well I am almost done my new projects, just haven't been able to do anything about them because I've had a shitload of homework... which basically resulted in me having no life whatsoever. This overload of homework, is all due to my English teacher..won't go into the details, but basically I think he's realised what a pain in the ass his homework has been (:fork:), and halved it out. Therefore, I now have gotten my life back, as well as my will to design something.

My sexy new macbook pro has been working hard on English, but now shall work hard on graphic design... + English. (lmao) Oh and also, perhaps you'll be seeing some of my designs which I will be working on for my school yearbook! I really hope I win this year... I don't know why I didn't last year... they had some really ugly, completely purple, bad quality design. So, I'm going to rock their socks this year. ;D OHHH, and I also got chosen for Graphic Design Co-ordinator for my school newspaper. OH YEAH OH YEAH OH YEAH!!! lmao, lots of achievements, but must now do some graphic design.

see y'all later with some goods. haha. :highfive:

Coming Soon!

New projects coming soon:

Previews:

1. Porcelain (Click Here)

2. Apocolypse (Click Here)

Note: They are incomplete, wait up for a week or so, and Porcelain will be done. (Taking this long due to school.) As for Apocolypse, trust me, it's going to look way cooler than that...and that is just a part of the whoooole big picture. ;D

There might be some photography coming soon!
*Going to buy a better and new camera later in the summer, expect better pictures. ;D
*Getting a Mac by the end of the summer...YAY! Newer and cooler projects.

Thanks for all the :+fav:'s, comments, and watches!

Sorry for the lack of updates. I've postponed my mac for the summer...so the wait contines. And i'm having trouble deciding between an Imac and a mac book pro.

Also, i've been trying to make something different, original...but failing. I'm getting sucked into the vertigo of unoriginality and unsatisfactory results.

I've been trying to make a a new site layout for Infractus in macromedia flash pro...but....failed miserable in that sector too. I understand how it works...somewhat, and have no trouble making frames and etc. It's the coding / scripting part that really stumbles me.

Patience is a virtue...

so not true.

Too much!

Tue Mar 27, 2007, 5:00 PM
I've been getting so much homework lately; which makes me not want to do any graphic design projects. :(

I currently participated in a Graphic Designing competition, which was advertising skilled trades. I got bronze. I have to say, i'm not happy, at all...in fact very dissapointed and sad. But, next year, i'm definately going to take part again, and next time...I WILL WIN GOLD! :D Because now I know what I did wrong, what I need to improve on, and that this is ADVERTISING, not pretty pictures. Which means, it needs to be simple, communicate a message efficiantly and clearly, and needs to be eye catching. I have learnt my lesson, but I still can't get over the fact that I got bronze, which makes me ashamed to tell other people why I wasn't in school today, or if they know why...how I did in the competition.

This really sucks. However, once I do get over my "glomminess", I'll probably tell them..and they'll say, "Oh...THAT WAS IT?". HECK YAH!

In other...happy stuff, i'm really excited for Grade 11. I have taken all the courses that I would ever want, 2 compulsory: Math, English, and my 6 electives: French, Arts and Publishing, Arts and Advertising, Multimedia (next level from Gr. 10, has more advanced Photoshop, Corel Draw / and maybe other vector based programs, and videography), Visual Arts, and Photography. At first, it was really scary getting what I want..and having no Sciences. I actually had to go to a guidence counselor for advice on whether I should take Sciences or not...and she made my day, she told me that, IT'S NOT NEEDED! Ah. I am a happy camper now.

Perhaps there will be more projects coming soon...otherwise, wait for a little bit...i'm getting back in the game...getting there....soon...

Thanks!
- Shaili

P.S: I will start updating soon. About next week i'm going to get my iMac, which is going to be so much better then this pc. Hah. My pc can't handle much at all, which really annoys me when i'm working on something...because it freezes up, not enough disk space, etc.

Plans:
1. New site layout
2. New design site layout
3. Finish postponed projects
